The Art of Night exhibit features photography by world-renowned nightlife photographer, Seth Browarnik. The first showing of the Art of Night exhibit was in tandem with the relaunch of the Shelborne South Beach Resort on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 9am. Karl Lagerfeld, Yoko Ono, Jay Z, Dennis Hopper, Daphne Guinness and Michael Jackson are just a few of the icons on display in “Art ofNight”. The collection shows a slice of celebrity life that often goes unseen while also portraying the passage of time and the evolution of pop culture. The photos expose moments of debauchery, of excess,of frantic backstage preparation, of pure unadulterated elation, of undeniable adoration. At “Art of Night” guests can get a glimpse at it all, and walk away with a piece of it. “Art of Night” was one of the most talked about exhibitions during Art Basel 2011.  Pictures from “Art of Night” are available for private showings and will be on display at various exhibitions during 2012.

Seth Browarnik (b. 1978) started his career in 1999 working for the newly launched OceanDrive.com, the online version of South Florida’s premiere lifestyle magazine Ocean Drive, where his first assignment was covering the then nightclub of-the-moment, Liquid. After an evening shooting Puff Daddy, Cher, Dennis Rodman, and a coterie of bold-faced names, he was hooked and found his niche becoming known as “the celebrity lens man of South Beach.” Seth soon made a career of showing the world the intimate scenes behind the velvet ropes and in VIP rooms at the most exclusive parties.
